Homemade face mask recipes…..

Hey girlies and guys,

Before we get into today’s post I just want to apologise for not posting on Saturday I was out for my sisters hen do and didn’t have time to get a post up.

So with that been said let’s get into today’s post

For today’s post I am going to share with you a few recipes for homemade face masks that I have found online

Face mask #1: Banana

Mash up a medium-sized ripe banana into a smooth paste, then gently apply it to your face and neck. Let it set for 10 to 20 minutes, then rinse it off with cold water

Face mask #2: Banana and honey

1/4 cup plain yogurt                                        2 tablespoons honey (a natural acne remedy)                                                               1 medium banana                                             Mix all the ingredients together into a smooth paste, apply to your face and let set for around 20 mins, then rinse off

Face mask #3: Milk

Make a mask by mixing 1/4 cup powdered milk with enough water to form a thick paste. Thoroughly coat your face with the mixture, let dry completely, then rinse with warm water. Your face will feel fresh and rejuvenated.

Face mask #4: Avocado

Take 1/4 ripe avocado and mash it up in a bowl until it turns lump free. Mix into the pulp 1 teaspoon of plain organic yogurt and 1/2 teaspoon of honey. Stir them well until you get a paste of uniform consistency. Apply the mask onto your skin for 10-15 minutes or until it dries out.

Face mask #5: Oatmeal

Combine 1/2 cup hot—not boiling—water and 1/3 cup oatmeal. After the water and oatmeal have settled for two or three minutes, mix in 2 tablespoons plain yogurt, 2 tablespoons honey, and 1 small egg white. Apply a thin layer of the mask to your face, and let it sit for 10 to 15 minutes. Then rinse with warm water.

Face mask #6: Egg

In a clean mixing bowl, whisk together the egg white and lemon juice until the mixture becomes frothy.                                           Wash your face with warm water to open up your pores.                                            Relax yourself as you wait for the mixture to settle and dry on your face.                  Keep the mask on for 10-15 minutes.

So as you can see from this post you don’t need to spend lots of money on expensive face masks or even spending lots of money going to spas

Hope you all found this post useful

Let me know in the comments if you try any of these face masks

Ps…. Contour pencils

hey girlies and guys,

On Monday I decided to share with you all my thoughts and opinions on the Ps… contour kit so for todays post I will be sharing with you all my thoughts and opinions on the Ps… contour pencils

As with the Ps… contour kit this product in the Ps.. range from Primark is also really affordable

Unlike the Ps.. contour kit  which is a powder  this product is a cream contour product. I prefer a powder contour but when I seen this product I had to get it and give  a try

One of the things that I like about this product is that the company provides a sharpener with this product which is really handy as these pencils are thicker than eye liner or lip liner pencil so a regular sized sharpener might not be big enough to sharpen these pencils

Another great thing about this product is that it comes with instructions on were to place the different products on your face this is great for anyone learning how to contour and highlight

Contouring and highlighting your face helps sculpt and define your features

Contouring: is used to shade areas you would like to define or re shape eg. forehead, cheekbones, chin and nose

Highlighting: is used to create an illusion of brightness

Bronze: is used to give your face some warmth

The contour pencils/crayons are easily applied and  the are a really creamy consistency . even though I’m not a big fan of cream contour products I prefer powder ones I do really like this contour product it is easily blend able and looks good. I would definitely recommend this product

This product can be purchased from primark for around £3

PS… contour kit

Hey girlies and guys,

As you all know I recently done a primatk haul and in that haul I purchased the ps…. contour kit so for today’s post I have decided to share with you all my thoughts and opinions on this product

I absolutely love primark and makeup so when I seen this product in primark and seen how affordable it was I knew I just had to get it

This contour kit comes with three shades that helps you sculpt and define your features. The shades this contour palette comes with is bronze, contour and highlight

One of the things that drew me to this contour kit was not only the price which is budget friendly but also the fact that the have provided instructions on how to use this kit on the back of the packaging. I think that giving your customers instructions on  how to use your product is a really good idea as this will be good for someone who is not use to using contour or for someone who is using this type of product for the first time

Another thing about this product for first time users or for anyone that may not have a contour or highlight makeup brush  is that the company  provide a small angled makeup for you to apply your contour and highlight inside the outer packaging

When I realised that this little kit included a brush I had to test it out so I swatched the contour on my hand to see how blend able the product was using the makeup brush provided and I found that the product blended really nice using this brush however I tend to use my other makeup brushes. I used a different angled brush for the contour and a fan brush to apply my highlight and a powder brush to apply the bronze. I will keep the wee makeup brush that was provided and I will take it with me when I’m traveling or even when I’m going out for a night out and I don’t want to carry around three different brushes with me

The packaging of the actual palette itselfs is simple but I’m absolutely loving the plain black palette with gold lettering. my thoughts on the packaging is that it is simple but classy with the gold lettering

Once you open the palette you will see the mirror I think it is great when companies include mirrors on their palettes this is so handy if you out and about and need a mirror you can just open your palette and use the mirror provide with the palette it also needs you won’t need to bring another mirror with you which saves space in your makeup bag or handbag

Now that I have told you all about the packaging and the mirror and the angled makeup brush that was included  in with this palette lets talk about the actual product

                                                                            CONTOUR- BRONZE-HIGHLIGHT

The product in this contour kit is a powder contour which is the type of contour I prefer I have also tried cream contour before as well. The contour, bronze and highlight in this palette is pretty pigmented and is easily blend able

I really like this product and have been using it for quite a while now. I think this product would be brilliant for anyone who is just starting out and learning about contouring and highlight as the quality is good and the price is affordable

This product can be purchased from Primark for around £4

P.S primer water….

Hey girlies and guys,

As a part of my makeup routine I always use a primer as a base for my foundation. When using a primer as a base for my primer I find that my foundation goes on evenly and flawlessly.

So with that been said for today’s post I am going to share with you all my thoughts and opinions on the ps primer water from primark

So the first thing that sparked my interest in this product was the fact that it was a spray bottle and that it was so handy just to spritz the primer water onto your face before applying your foundation this is great for them times when your in a rush and haven’t much time to be apply cream primer,  a quick spritz of the primer water and then apply the rest of your makeup.

Another great thing about this product is how budget friendly and affordable it is. This primer water cost me £2 from primark

For this price you get quite a lot of product so for another on a budget this really is a good product to purchased

I have been using this primer quite and bit and as you can see from the picture above I’ve nearly used it all. I wanted to use this product regularly so I would be able to give an accurate review and give  this product a chance by using it regularly about giving you all my opinion on it

So I sprayed this primer on to my face before I applied my foundation I personally like this primer as it doesn’t have a strong scent to it and I do feel that my foundation goes on really nice over it. I also have used it on my eyeshadow brush when i looking for the pigment in my eyeshadow to be that it more vibrant and brighter. So I do think it this product is quite versatile

And for the price of it I don’t think you can go wrong with picking this product up I would definitely recommend this product to my family and friends and to anyone that is on a stricter budget or even for anyone that is just learning about makeup and incorporating new products into their makeup routine

Leave me comment letting me know if you have tried this primer water

Hey girlies,

So today’s post I  will be sharing with you all my thoughts and opinions on this lipstick from Avon cosmetics.

The shade I got in this lipstick is in the buff which is a really nice nude colour.

Above is the swatch of in the buff shade of the Avon ultra colour 3D plumping lipstick

This is quite a subtle colour which I find is really nice for everyday makeup. I really like how this lipstick applies to the lips. It just go on nice and evenly. I find that this lipstick is moisturing on the lips and has a subtle plumping effect.

A abit about this product

Formulated with collagen and Retinex Colour Complex for plumper, firmer smoother, more supple-looking lips.

I really like this product and I definitely will be repurchasing it and I would recommend this product to family and family. I also like the silver packaging on this product it’s simple but cute. Another great thing about this product is that it comes in lots of different shades
